Winston-Salem, NC representative Novej (pronounced NO-VAY) comes correct with a dope mixtape showcasing his lyrical range. Hosted by Rapper Big Pooh, this nineteen-track affair covers familiar territory, but coming from the introspective perspective of an artist wise beyond his years. My personal favorite on The Before's And After's is "Rakim Taught Me How To Rhyme", but other joints strike a positive chord, including "Gold", "Young Black and Handsome" and "Came Up".
