Based out of The Tar Heel State, Meridian (comprised of Obsidian Blue and Mercury Waters) is a welcome breathe of fresh air musically. No trap stylings, just pure, unadulterated Hip Hop from the soul. The approach may be more old school than new, but the results are anything but dated or stale. I first encountered Obsidian Blue as a OKP head (Charter Member like myself), and I've been able to keep abreast of his music, as well as Mercury Waters, via Bandcamp (links will be listed below).
